Serving Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda, Contra Costa, and Marin Counties!

Hassler offers heating services with an extensive professional knowledge of the Bay Area’s specific heating needs. We offer custom design and installation for any home project, from remodeling or retrofit projects to new construction. We also provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services on all makes and models of heating systems.

With years of experience, we’ve helped thousands of homeowners throughout Marin, Contra Costa, and Alameda counties improve their home comfort and energy efficiency.

Heating System Installation

At Hassler, we view your home as an interconnected system, with each component playing a crucial role in its performance, health, and comfort. When we install a new heating system in your home, not only are we concerned with meeting your needs, but we also want to ensure it is operating at its full potential with proper insulation, air sealing, and duct distribution (if you have one). We install several high-efficiency heating systems, including:

Heat Pumps

With the ability to move heat instead of creating it, heat pumps are some of the most energy efficient heating and cooling systems on the market today. The all-electric HVAC systems can be used all year long to both heat and cool your home and can provide up to 4 times the amount of energy they consume.

Ductless Mini Splits

Mini split heat pumps offer all the benefits of a ducted heat pump without a connection to a central duct system. In addition to an outdoor unit that transfers heat, ductless systems have individual “air handlers” placed in specific zones throughout your home. Ductless heat pumps are an energy efficient way to heat and cool specific areas or your entire home.

Furnaces

As part of California’s goal to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the state has implemented regulations on what type of gas furnaces can be installed in a home. All new furnace installations must be ultra-low NOx, which means they produce less harmful gasses. However, the state also plans to implement a complete ban on all gas furnaces by 2029. If you’re looking to replace your old furnace, the team at Hassler encourages you to upgrade to electric heat pumps. We can help find the best heating system for your home that meets the local EPA guidelines.

Water Heating

Hassler offers several energy efficient water heating solutions, some of which are eligible for incentives like the new heat pump water heater rebates from TECH Clean California. Our water heating selection includes traditional water heaters, tankless water heaters, and heat pump water heaters. The state of California is planning to implement a complete ban on gas water heaters by 2029, and our team can help find a reliable solution for your home.

Wall & Direct Vent Heaters

Direct vent heaters are an energy efficient alternative to space heaters for a specific room or zone in your home. These systems are ideally installed on an exterior wall where they can vent directly outside.

Make Your Heating Upgrade More Affordable

At Hassler, we understand the importance of investing in a high-quality heating system for your home. That’s why we stay up-to-date on the latest rebates and incentives available to homeowners throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, and Marin counties. We are a participating contractor in many local rebate programs and can help you save with incentives like:

  • Federal HVAC and heat pump tax credits
  • BayREN heat pump rebates
  • Energy Upgrade California rebates
  • Electrify Marin
  • City of Albany Heat Pump Rebate Program
  • City of Piedmont Heat Pump HVAC & Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate Program
  • City of Alameda AMP Heat Pump Rebate Program
  • Tech Clean California HVAC and Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate Program
  • Golden State Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate Program

We also regularly offer special promotions with discounts on installation, maintenance service  and more. Still struggling to come up with the out-of-pocket expenses for your heating upgrade? That’s okay—with Hassler’s flexible financing options, you don’t have to let your short-term budget prevent you from getting the heating system that meets your needs.

Maximize Your Comfort & Efficiency

Hassler also offers several systems that can help your heating system perform better, last longer, and help you save on your energy bills. These services include:

Thermostats

Improving the efficiency of your heating system can be as easy as installing a new thermostat in your home. Hassler offers traditional thermostats, but also wifi and programmable thermostats to help you easily decrease your energy consumption.

Zoned Air Systems

Zoning your home allows you to heat and cool specific areas at a certain time. This means that you’ll be able to keep every room at your desired temperature without wasting energy and boost your comfort.

Mike, apparently Rene and your team did such a good job the rebate is even a bit higher than expected. Thanks for the good work. Your commitment to qualifying and getting the rebate was a key factor of why my wife and I chose your company for the installation over other companies we received quotes from.
